Dr. Rashti,

I would like to share a bit of the experience I've had with you over the past five years since I've been treated at your office. I remember the first time I showed up- I was having a problem that turned out to be a root canal. Even though this isn't your specialty, you made sure I felt comfortable after my tearful breakdown and referred me to a doctor who could see me the same day. Even though I wasn't even your patient, you called to see how I was doing after my procedure.

Soon after, I actually needed your services as I had been receiving peridontal treatment since my late teens. During the first gum treatment I received, which also involved the removal of a wisdom tooth, I took the entire day off. I just knew that my face would be completely swollen and I braced for a lot of pain. Well, neither came! In fact, I almost considered going to work that day, but decided to go on a date that night instead!

Since then, I've had several surgeries, including 5 dental implants in various parts of my mouth. Again, you were so gentle and your office staff so supportive, that I came through with flying colors! As a young person who has faced tooth loss, it's important to have someone who understands my concerns and empathizes with the difficulties this causes. It's also important that things are done right so that I can look beautiful and natural. Well, I feel both beautiful and natural! No one around me- even my boyfriend knows that I have implants.

Dr. Rashti, I appreciate how you explain everything you are going to do and make sure I am okay before you go forward. I have never felt that you are trying to sell me something just to make money. Implants are so expensive, yet you always find a way that I can get my treatments and pay for them over time.

I came to Dr. Rashti in 2004. Being the graceful and coordinated person that I am, while riding my bicycle, I managed to fall over the handlebars and landed on my face-specifically, my top front teeth. No one had to tell me how bad it was-it was obvious. I went to at least five different specialists before I saw Dr. Rashti. She explained to me the different options I had and what each would mean. We came to the decision to replace my four front teeth together, and in 2006 she performed the surgery. Since then, she's been thorough and professional in our routine checkups, and I'm confident in her abilities to help me maintain my smile.

Dental Implant Westwood - As a child I had horrible experiences in hospitals, and as a result, have been terrified of many things connected with doctors ever since. I was at the point of not seeing anyone in the medical profession at all until circumstances forced me to seek help which led to surgery three years ago.

This did nothing to relieve my fears, however; so, when I learned that I had to seek help from a periodontist my terror knew no bounds.

It was, therefore, one of the most wonderful experiences I have had to walk in to Dr. Rashti's office, and be received warmly and with understanding.

From the moment I began filling out the questionnaire, I knew I was in good hands. I gave answers to questions no one had ever asked before.

Dr. Rashti is an angel. She took more time than I have ever spent with any dentist to explain just what would happen to me. She also showed an understanding and sensitivity I have never experienced before. She knew that I was totally blind, and spent time before our first meeting to try and figure out the best way to help me, and make me feel at ease. She needn't have worried. The warmth and understanding she showed from the beginning made me know right away that I would trust her.

Her entire staff is just as warm.

If anyone had told me that I would love going to the dentist, I would have said they were crazy, but I look forward to each visit, because I feel that Dr. Rashti is not just giving me the best dental care I could ask for--which she is--but she makes me feel that I have gained a friend as well.

I am writing you this letter beacuase I want you to know now much I appreciate your dental expertise and treatment. I came to you beacuse I had a problem in one area of my gums. Needless to say, I was very apprehensive when I came to see you. I had never been to a periodontist before. You knew waht to do immediately and had a medical diagnosis for my problem. In my case though, it was not so simple and would not heal right away. But you were abale to alleviate the problem. Through all the procedures and surgeries, your sense of humor and kind and gentle demeanor got me through it. I asl appreciate the follow-up calls to me after surgery. I have been to many dentists through the years and by far Dr. Rashti is the best in all aspects. She is compassionate, patient, caring, understanding, and does not hesitate to fully explain your oral problem (s). She never fails to make one feel that one's oral treatment is most important to her and she will do everything she can for you. Her number 1 priority is her patient's oral well-being-she doesn't say it, she shows it. She does not rush wile she is with her patients and takes her time to allay any fears or concerns you may have. She is straight-forward and firmly, but not in a mean way, gives recommendations for a healthier mouth. She goes the extra mile when one has a procedure done. She gives you her cell phone number in case you have any problems when the office is closed. She goes another mile and calls you the next day after your procedure to see how you are doing. No dentist has ever done that for me. In fact, a dentist once told me after a procedure, that if I had an emergency on off hours that I should go to an emergency hospital.

Dr. Rashti has an outstanding assistant, sally. Sally is very competent and quickly puts you at ease. She always has time to listen to you and is very thorough.

If Dr. Rashti or sally ever have a bad day, you would never know it. You are greeted with a smile and they remember any personal tidbit you share with them previously.

You instantly become relaxed and confident that you are in capable hands and your trust is well-founded.

I've had many bad experiences with dentists, i.e. rude, mean, given conflicting info, treated like a non-person, rough and painful, really not remembering me from previous visit and then be dismissed abruptly.

After 3 ½ years with Dr. Rashti I can honestly way that my experiences have been pain-free and comfortable. No longer do I dread going to the dentist. It has now become a pleasant and enjoyable experience, not an ordeal.
