Dr. Mahnaz Rashti received her D.D.S. degree from College of Dentistry of New York University in 1994. She then spent two years practicing hospital dentistry and treating medically compromised patients in West Los Angeles Veteran Administration Hospital and completed her general practice residency there. Her interest in the specialty of Periodontics motivated her to pursue a three-year postgraduate study in the field of Periodontics and dental implant at the Veteran Administration-UCLA Medical Center in 1996.

She taught as the clinical instructor at UCLA department of Oral Diagnosis and Oral Medicine from 1994-1996 and then became the instructor at the clinic of Periodontics at UCLA from 1996-1999. She is currently the Clinical Assistant Professor at Veteran Hospital.

She is specialized in dental implants, periodontal medicine, periodontal plastic and reconstructive surgery. She is a recipient of numerous academic awards during her dental training and is a member of multiple academic and professional organizations. Her experience in conscious sedation, knowledge and skills in periodontal medicine adds a special dimension to her ability to treat patients with many needs including phobic patients.

Dr. Rashti constantly tries to improve her techniques in patient care and patient communication skills. She tries to develop close coordination with referring general dentists and dental specialists, and often serves as a consultant to the other dentists and receives referral from them. Dr. Rashti enjoys many outdoor activities, including swimming and jogging with her husband and two children.
